Wow, as you all know I have been needing to update you on our lives for quite some time now, so, here it is. Garrett has recently chosen a different career path in his life. He has left Neils Fugal and has started working with a guy in the Landscaping profession as well as construction. This has been an amazing move for him. It will allow him to really be able to use all of his talents, as we all know he has. Its been exciting to see him excited to start his new career! I know he will be successfull in whatever he does and I'm anxious to see what this brings into our lives. As for me, I currently work for the Department of Corrections and most recently was given a promotion. Its been fun for me to work in the Corrections system. As most of you know, I love learning new things, and this definately has been a challenging profession to learn, but, very rewarding at the same time. Garrett and I are both enjoying life and enjoying being newlyweds, or at least until our one year anniversary coming up here in August (I'm not exactly sure how long you can technically call yourself a newlywed). Wow! Its hard to believe its already been a year, time definately goes by way to fast. Needless to say, we both feel very blessed and are happy to have the friends and family that we have. We are definately thankful for all of the support each of you have given throughout this past year. We love all of you!! I promise, pictures are to come, tons of them. :)

Christmas is now over and so its back to real life for us. We had a wonderful time spending the holidays with family and friends. Christmas we spent with Garrett's sister Hollie and brother-in-law Jeremy. It was so exciting to see the faces of their kids on Christmas morning. We had such a fun time being there with them. It definately made us excited and look forward to a family of our own some day. On Christmas day we took our time getting up and ready for the day, but when we finally were ready we headed up to my sister Monica's house where my family all met up for Christmas dinner. It was so nice to be with everyone. It seems we don't do it as often as we should. But, it was definately fun. We played there for the day and then headed to Garrett's parents home that evening. All in all, it was a very memorable first Christmas being married. Thank you to all who helped create fun memories with us. Garrett is still currently working for Neils Fugal in the networking department. He enjoys it, for the most part, and is definately good at what he does. Always impressing the bosses. I, on the other hand, will be starting a new position with the state on the 31st of December. I will be working for the Department of Corrections right across from the prison in Draper. I am definately excited and nervous at the same time. I am very fortunate that I have the opportunity to work for such a great department. Oh, and the benefits aren't so bad either. :) New Years is right around the corner and lots of exciting new plans are in store for our 2008 year. It will be a great year! We will definately keep you posted on all of the exciting, crazy events to come in our life, which it seems they never stop. We are both very happy and feel extremely blessed. And I couldn't ask for a better husband and best friend.
